“Threads App: 50M Surge Amid Instagram-Twitter Rivalry”
Just than 24 hours after its Thursday launch, Threads, the new “Twitter Killer” app from Meta, has amassed 50 million users. The text-based microblogging platform is closely connected to Instagram, Meta’s well-known photo and video sharing platform. Though the rapid growth of Threads is noteworthy, it’s important to keep in mind that Meta is enticing customers to join up for Threads by leveraging its Instagram user base of over 2.35 billion active users. Competitor Twitter, however, has reportedly vowed to sue Meta while its recently hired CEO has already started to feel the heat.
